1. Introduction

Welcome to OnARide Mobility Services, a self-drive car rental platform operating under the Government of India's MSME and Startup Udyam registration.

By accessing, booking, or using any of our services—whether through our website, mobile application, or official communication channels—you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the following Terms and Conditions.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (the "Renter" or "User") and OnARide Mobility Services ("OnARide," "We," "Our," or "Us"). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

  • All vehicle bookings must be made in advance through our website, app, or official support channels.
  • Full payment is mandatory at the time of booking via Razorpay or other officially approved payment gateways. This ensures vehicle availability and prevents booking-related inconveniences or disputes.
  • In case payment fails, OnARide reserves the right to cancel the booking automatically.
  • Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a Booking Confirmation Receipt via email or WhatsApp.
  • Pricing is determined by vehicle type, location, rental duration, and current market conditions. OnARide reserves the right to revise its rates and service fees without prior notice.

3. Vehicle Inspection and Handover Process

Before commencing the trip:

  • The renter must capture and share a complete video and photo of the vehicle—covering all sides, interiors, and dashboard—via Gmail (onaridedotin@gmail.com) or WhatsApp (+91 8144414525).
  • This inspection process is mandatory for safety verification, documentation, and liability protection for both parties.
  • Failure to submit this verification may lead to rejection of later damage claims or deposit disputes.
  • Upon return, OnARide will re-inspect the vehicle for any damage, fuel level discrepancies, or missing accessories.

4. Fuel, Tolls, and Additional Charges

  • Fuel: The renter is solely responsible for refueling during the rental period. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.
  • Tolls and Parking: All toll, Fastag, parking, or city entry fees are to be borne by the renter.
  • Cleaning: If the vehicle is returned in an unclean or unhygienic state, a cleaning fee may be charged.
  • Overuse: In case of exceeding the allocated kilometers or rental time, additional charges will apply as per the rate chart.

5. Vehicle Usage Rules and Restrictions

  • The vehicle shall only be driven by the person(s) listed in the rental agreement possessing a valid driver's license.
  • Sub-leasing, lending, or transferring the vehicle to another person is strictly prohibited.
  • The vehicle must not be used for: Racing, rallying, or stunt activities; Illegal or commercial passenger transport; Transporting hazardous or flammable goods; Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance.
  • The renter agrees to comply with all traffic laws, parking regulations, and government transport rules. Violations leading to fines, penalties, or legal issues will be entirely borne by the renter.

6. Damages, Accidents, and Liability

  • Any physical or mechanical damage, interior wear, or loss of vehicle parts/accessories during the rental period will be billed to the renter.
  • The renter is financially responsible for the full cost of repairs, towing, and downtime if the vehicle is damaged due to negligence, misuse, or violation of terms.
  • In case of an accident: Immediately inform OnARide through WhatsApp or phone call (+91 8144414525); Provide a police report (FIR) and incident details if required; Do not attempt repairs or settlements without OnARide's consent.
  • Insurance coverage (if applicable) may only apply in accordance with policy terms, subject to deductibles and exclusions.

7. Information Accuracy and Communication

  • All renter information, including name, address, contact number, driving license, and ID proof, must be accurate and verifiable.
  • Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information can result in booking cancellation, blacklisting, or legal action.
  • OnARide may contact renters via phone, email, or WhatsApp for updates, verification, or booking-related clarifications.
  • By using our services, you consent to receive these communications as part of the operational process.

8. Return Policy and Delay Charges

  • Vehicles must be returned at the agreed location and within the specified time frame.
  • A grace period of 15–30 minutes is provided. Delays beyond this may incur hourly or full-day charges.
  • If a renter fails to return the vehicle on time without prior notice, OnARide reserves the right to: Impose penalty charges, Suspend future rental privileges, and Report to local authorities if non-return exceeds 24 hours.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • All cancellation requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time to qualify for a refund. In such cases, a convenience fee will be deducted, and the remaining booking amount will be transferred back to the customer as soon as possible.
  • If a cancellation request is made after or within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, a significant deduction will be applied based on the remaining time before pickup, and the balance (if any) will be refunded at the earliest.
  • Cancellations made within 3 hours of the scheduled pickup are strictly prohibited and will be treated as fully non-refundable.
  • For any date or time rescheduling, customers must contact the OnARide team directly. Rescheduling may involve a possible convenience fee depending on vehicle availability, rental duration, timing constraints, and other operational considerations.

10. Legal Compliance and Safety Obligations

  • Renters must ensure lawful and safe driving at all times.
  • OnARide reserves the right to terminate a rental immediately if the renter is found: Engaged in illegal driving behavior; Using the vehicle for non-permitted activities; Found intoxicated or violating safety norms.
  • In such cases, no refund will be processed, and legal action may be initiated if necessary.

11. Modification of Terms

OnARide Mobility Services reserves the right to revise or modify these terms and conditions without prior notice. The updated terms will be posted on the official website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sambalpur, Odisha.
